Day 1 arrival Cochin
On arrival at Cochin airport you are meet and greeted followed by transfer to Hotel. Cochin - European influences are instantly apparent in this charming town picturesquely located on a number of islands squeezed between the Arabian Sea and the Kerala backwaters. The maritime history of Cochin is reflected in its blend of Dutch, Portuguese and British architecture. Relax and unwind. Overnight in Cochin
Day 2 Cochin
Cycle through the spice-scented streets of Kochi, a laid-back city that has been luring travellers for over 600-years with its idyllic climate, colonial heritage and lively port; Learn about its Portuguese, English and Dutch connections, see its busy waterfront, stroll through the heart of its old Jew Town and breath in the smell of its spice-scented alleys. With trips to the Dutch Palace and an eye-opening visit to a local laundry, this tour will get you under the skin of this much-loved Indian city. In the evening visit the epic Ramayana comes to life at a Kathakali performance, traditional Keralan dance, where the characters use larger than life gestures, wear outrageous costumes and dramatic make up.Overnight stay at Cochin.Please note: Dutch palace and Synagogue will be closed on Friday and Saturday.
Day 3 Cochin - Alleppey
Today you will take 4-hour cycling tour from Fort Kochi to Alleppey, with a few stops along the way for photography and refreshments. The tour will begin early in the morning from your hotel (preferably at 7 a.m.),Cycling along the scenic Kerala coastline, you will see fishermen bringing in the fresh morning catch. If you wish, you can stop and learn more about fishing and prawn farming, or about their daily lives. You will also see quaint beaches of white sand along the coast. Along the way, there are local churches, temples, coir processing plants and toddy bars. On arrival Alleppey, you will check in to Homestay. Nothing beats the welcoming atmosphere, delicious home-cooked food and chance to meet friendly local people that you get when staying in the home of a Keralan family. Day 5 ALLEPPEY (HOUSEBOAT)
After Breakfast depart from home stay and check in to houseboat, the beautiful landscape to reach the land of backwaters. Experience the daily lives of the locals from the decks of a house boat. Pass women washing their clothes in the river and farmers bathing their buffalo; watch as fishermen and vegetable sellers go from house to house by boat selling their wares; pass villagers standing up to their necks in water gossiping with their neighbor. Enjoy tasty local meals as the boat drifts along and watch as the sun sets over the ever-changing scenery before retiring to your cabin to be lulled to sleep by the gently lapping water (Overnight onboard House Boat) (Full board basis).
Day 5 ALLEPPEY - THEKKADY
Depart from Hotel and drive to Periyar, The evocative name of the Cardamom Hills is home to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, a reserve on the Kerala/Tamil Nadu border which is surrounded by tea and spice plantations. Lush forest, with a vast lake at its heart, is home to many indigenous animals.  

Evening cooking demonstration highlighting some of the fresh aromatic spices from the surrounding forests, such as nutmeg, cardamom, pepper, cinnamon, cloves, tamarind, whole red chillies, and bay leaf.
Day 6 THEKKADY
Morning Embark on Half day bamboo rafting and hiking trail. The raft makes its way through the Periyar lake and you can see the forests on either side. Trekkers can glimpse the lofty mountains bordering the park watershed and the vast plains below. Two armed forest guards will accompany you on this trek.  

Afternoon visit spice plantations, the Cardamom Hills are the ideal location to explore a garden where spices and other aromatic plants are grown. Overnight in Thekkady
Day 7 THEKKADY - SURYA NELLI
Today depart from hotel and drive to Suryanelli camp. Indeed this place is a paradise for those seeking refuge from the hustle & bustle of city life! The food cooked at the camp’s own kitchen provides scrumptious local delicacies served at the Gazebo. After refreshment at the camp site you are trekking to the top spot called Phantom’s Head. In this trek you will pass through beautiful tea gardens, grass lands and cardamom plantations. The summit offers excellent views of the sunset over Western Ghats and the beautiful sight of Anaerangal Lake. Overnight stay in Camp
Day 8 SURYA NELLI - ATHOOR
After breakfast proceed drives to Athoor.Immerse yourself in nature and experience tranquil Tamilian village life. Meet local residents and other individuals wih the wanderlust gene from a comfortable guesthouse run to high standards whilst enjoying a cool breeze from the lake throughout the year.later proceed for bird watching tour. Look out for the sunbirds on the hibiscus and the territorial gangs of babblers arguing over their territories. Look towards the lake and watch the painted storks rising in the thermals or eagles fishing. At night, listen for the nightjar. You may hear the peacocks, when they argue over the fruiting pomegranates. Overnight stay at Athoor.
Day 9 ATHOOR - MADURAI
After breakfast drive to Madurai – the old city of Tamilnadu. The name Madurai reminds the city of the legend that a drop of sweet nectar from the hair of the god Shiva fell to earth here. ‘Madhuram’ means ‘sweet’ in Sanskrit. On arrival check in to hotel and rest of the day free for own activities. (Overnight stay in Madurai)
Day 10 MADURAI
You will wander the tailors markets and bazaars before visiting the Sri Meenakshi Temple, which lies at the heart of the city. Still active today, this ancient temple is a maze of lamp-lit corridors. The corridors lead to shrines where mysterious rituals take place. Something is always happening here – ceremonies, musicians playing, weddings, prostrating pilgrims, festivals – making it a compelling place to spend time and enjoy temple life. The temple is the geographic and ritual center of the ancient city of Madurai and divided into a number of concentric quadrangular enclosures contained by high masonry walls. It is one of the few temples in Tamil Nadu to have four entrances facing four directions. This temple has four towers each intricately decorated with thousands of colored figures. You could spend hours examining each tower. The northern tower is more bare, so as not to tempt the demons. There are eight more towers and a hall with a thousand decorated pillars. Our next stop is ThirumalaiNayak Palace of India is an example of architectural grandeur and was built by King ThirumalaiNayak in 1636 AD. The palace was designed by an Italian Architect and served as the residence of the King. Today, the palace is famous for its courtyard and the dancing hall. The paintings and sculptures in the shrine are fascinating.  Afternoon take a rickshaw tour to explore colorful Madurai. Actually this city is without a doubt the most spectacular city in Tamil Nadu. Through this tour you are going to explore banana market, cotton weaving industry, vegetable markets and Gandhi Museum. Overnight in Madurai
Day 11 MADURAI - KARAIKUDI
Depart from hotel and drive to Karaikudi, a major town from the Chettinad region, which is famous for its heritage and traditions. The palatial mansions with their rare architecture make chettinad a place of rare charm, and a must-visit destination. Karikudi is also known for its cuisine. Visit the village market which is busy selling sweets and Snacks. One can relish experiencing the lights, smells, tastes, and sounds of this jubilant festival. . Overnight in Karaikudi
Day 12 KARAIKUDI – TRANQUEBAR VIA TANJORE
Morning visit tile manufacturing unit at Athangudi  and sari-weaving center (Hand Weaving) at Kanadukathan before heading towards Tanjore .
Visit Brihadeshvara Temple - This magnificent temple, over 1000 years old and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site evokes the power of the Chola kings as it towers over the town. Study the detailed inscriptions which depict temple life and the dancers, musicians, potters, goldsmiths and astrologers who lived there. Enter the pavilion in the main courtyard to view the shining black Nandi statue, one of the largest in India, and weighing an astonishing 25 tons. Continue your trip to Tranquebar. Overnight in Tranquebar
Day 13 TRANQUEBAR - MAMALLAPURAM
Morning proceed to visit Danish Fort,Tranquebar Museum (Fort & Museum Closed on Friday) and visit new Jerusalem Church. Later head for the sprawling, laidback beaches of Mamallapuram. You will drive along the scenic East Coast Road  to reach this scenic fishing village.. This laid back town is the perfect place to end your trip. Overnight in Mamallapuram.
Day 14 MAMALLAPURAM
This Morning Explore the town by interesting walk covering Arjuna's Penance nothing can prepare you for the wonderful bas-reliefs covering two huge boulders. The exquisite detail, dating from the 7th century, depicts the flow of the Ganges down from the Himalayan mountains as well as scenes from Indian daily life. The Five Rathasyou won't believe that these shrines are carved whole from an outcrop of rock. Each of the five temples is dedicated to heroes from the great epic of the Mahabharata. Spend time admiring the detail of the carvings which include gods, humans and elephants and wonder why the temples are incomplete and were never consecrated. Shore Temple Relish the delightful seaside location, overlooking the Bay of Bengal, and landscaped gardens surrounding the Shore Temple, a popular place for the locals to visit. Dedicated to both Vishnu and Shiva, the decorative beauty of the temple, built in Dravidian style, has suffered erosion by its proximity to the sea.  We would take you to sculpture studio to witness the demonstration of stone craftsmanship . Day 15 MAMALLAPURAM – CHENNAI
After breakfast it's time for farewells to your Driver and a wistful wave goodbye to Southindia.  You will dropped at Chennai airport to connect your onward flight
